Robert Lowdon is an internationally published commercial photographer based out of Toronto, Canada. He spends his time photographing architecture and industrial projects for the most part.
Recently, I was commissioned to complete various gas station photography images of the new branding of Tempo gas stations in Southern Manitoba. The goal was to create images that really stood out to the consumer. Colorful, inviting images that represented the feel of the new brand through photography.
I really wanted to make the images of this gas station stand out. I have a competitiveness in my photography. I want to take the best image. I will study other examples and figure out how I can do better. It is just the way I am. To achieve this, I took multiple image during different times of day, over several days.
A lot of architectural photography is just waiting around. Waiting around and more importantly, planning. You want those perfect conditions to really make the property stand out. I feel like these images of this gas station do just that. To some this might just be a gas station, to me it is everything. You set a high goal, you plan and you prepare until you achieve that goal.
Below are a few of the resulting images photographed this summer.

For us at Robert Lowdon Photography, we deliver this for our clients through storytelling in photography. But I wanted to explore more about why building consumer trust is important for companies and how brands achieve this (outside of photography). Once we discuss building consumer trust as a whole, we’ll share how we achieve this through the photography services we provide and share a sampling of photos we believe best visually represent this theme.
Industrial architecture is a very niche market. It is used for warehouses, factories and manufacturing projects and is often photographed in stages from the beginning of construction to completion. Industrial building photography creates a compelling portfolio of images that architects, builders, and designers can leverage to secure new contracts and showcase their expertise within the industrial sector.
In this blog post, we will explore why teamwork is important in the workplace, discuss how visuals can emphasize it, share current trends in office teamwork marketing imagery, and provide examples of our favourite office teamwork images for website and marketing purposes.
