Recently, I was commissioned to complete photographs of the new branding of Tempo gas stations in Southern Manitoba. The goal was to create images that really stood out to the consumer. Colourful, inviting images that represented the feel of the new brand through photography.
I really wanted to make the images of this gas station stand out. I have a competitiveness in my photography. I want to take the best image. I will study other examples and figure out how I can do better. It is just the way I am. To achieve this, I took multiple image during different times of day, over several days.
A lot of architectural photography is just waiting around. Waiting around and more importantly, planning. You want those perfect conditions to really make the property stand out. I feel like these images of this gas station do just that. To some this might just be a gas station, to me it is everything. You set a high goal, you plan and you prepare until you achieve that goal.
Below are a few of the resulting images photographed this summer.
