About The Artist
Robert Lowdon is a photographic artist born in the Canadian prairies. His work documents how humans interact with our ever changing landscape. The works are meant to show the cyclical relationship of our environment and the conflicts that lie within that marriage.
Often displaying light and dark mixtures to convey a message of both life and death. The struggle that we all face and the renewal that defines this ethos. In life there is light within the darkness, and darkness within light.
"Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice."
