    Here is a quick list of tools that are essential to any photographer building a website or trying to understand their web presence:
     

    Google Webmaster Tools

     
    Probably the most essential tool for anyone building a website. First you get a website and then you get webmaster tools. Webmaster tools allows you to submit your content directly to Google and basically gives you the nuts and bolts of how your website is performing.
     

    Google Analytics

     
    Information is power. Google analytics provides all the insight you need to know related to web traffic.
     

    Worpress

     
    Wordpress is probably the best blogging platform right now. Almost everyone uses it, and blogging is great for rankings because it provides your website with a steady stream of content.
     

    Seomoz

     
    Seomoz or Moz as it now called offers a variety of tools that grade your site and give insight. Most of them can be used free with a daily limit.
     

    Twitter

     
    You're probably thinking this comes out of left field. How does twitter help my website. The answer is simple Twitter content gets indexed fast by Google, sometimes in less than an hour. If you want your content to be found this is a great place to start.
